3. Data Collected
3.1 Registration Data
- Email Address: Used to create and manage your account
- Password: Stored in encrypted form to secure your account
- First and Last Name: To personalize your profile
3.2 Profile Data
- Profile Picture: Optional, to personalize your account
- Club / Playing Location Name: Detected automatically via your location to enrich your statistics
3.3 Location Data
- Precise Location (GPS): Used only if you authorize it, to automatically identify the padel club where you are playing. Coordinates (latitude/longitude) and club name are saved with each match.
- You can disable location access at any time in your device settings
3.4 Game Data
- Match Videos: Recorded only if you activate the camera function during a match
- Game Statistics: Match duration, scores, history
- Application Settings: Notification preferences, video quality, etc.
3.5 Technical Data
- Device Identifier: To ensure proper application functionality
- Application Version: To provide you with appropriate updates
- Error Logs: To improve application stability
3.6 Health Data (Apple Health / HealthKit)
If you authorize it, PadelBuzz accesses certain data via Apple Health during your matches:
- Read: step count, distance traveled, heart rate, calories burned
- Write: recording of your matches as workout sessions in Apple Health
Strict commitments regarding your health data:
- Your health data is never used for advertising or marketing purposes
- Your health data is never sold to third parties
- Your health data is securely stored on our servers (Supabase, Europe) solely to enrich your personal statistics, and is never shared with other users
- You can revoke authorization at any time in iPhone Settings > Health > Data Access & Devices > PadelBuzz
Apple Health access is entirely optional — the app works without this authorization.
3.7 Sign in with Apple or Google
You can sign up or sign in to PadelBuzz via:
- Sign in with Apple: We receive your name and email address (or an Apple private relay alias if you choose to hide your real address). Apple does not transmit any other data to us.
- Sign in with Google: We receive your first name, last name, and email address. Google does not transmit any other data to us.
You can revoke access at any time from your Apple ID or Google account settings.
3.8 Usage Statistics (opt-in)
PadelBuzz may, if you explicitly enable it, collect anonymized data on your usage of the application. This collection is disabled by default and entirely optional.
If you enable it via Settings > Privacy > Usage Statistics, we record the following events to improve the application:
- Match recorded
- Match downloaded
- Buzz downloaded
- Buzz shared (with target platform: WhatsApp, Instagram, etc.)
- Buzz added to or removed from favorites
No video, identifiable personal data (name, email) or textual content is transmitted. You can disable this collection at any time from the same screen.
3.9 Payment Data
PadelBuzz does not access any payment data (credit card number, IBAN, billing details).
All payment and billing for the Premium subscription is managed by Apple via your Apple ID account in the App Store. We do not store, transmit, or access any financial information.
We only receive, via our provider RevenueCat, the technical subscription status information (active, in trial, expired) linked to an anonymous Apple identifier, in order to unlock access to Premium features within the app.
For any questions regarding your billing, a refund, or the management of your subscription, please consult your Apple ID account directly (iPhone Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions).
4. Legal Basis for Processing
We process your data on the following legal bases:
- Contract Performance: To provide you with PadelBuzz services
- Consent: For location, videos, and marketing communications
- Legitimate Interest: To improve our service and ensure security
5. Use of Data
Your data is used to:
- Create and manage your user account
- Record and securely store your match videos
- Generate automatic video highlights
- Track your game statistics and history
- Send you important notifications about the application
- Improve our services and fix bugs
- Ensure platform security
6. Data Sharing
We never sell your personal data. Your data may only be shared in the following cases:
6.1 With Your Consent
- Players added to your matches: If you enter the name, surname, position and comments of your partners/opponents, this information is strictly private to your account and is never shared with other users or with the players themselves.
- Video Sharing: Only if you choose to share your highlights via iOS sharing functions.
6.2 Service Providers
PadelBuzz uses the following technical providers, all contractually committed to protecting your data in compliance with GDPR:
- Supabase (Europe): Secure database hosting, user authentication, storage of profiles and match statistics
- Cloudflare R2 (Europe): Encrypted object storage of your match videos and buzz clips. Your videos remain strictly private and accessible only to you.
- RevenueCat (United States): Technical validation and management of your iOS subscription. Only an anonymous Apple identifier and your subscription status are transmitted. No direct personal data (name, email, content) is shared with RevenueCat. The transfer to the United States is governed by the Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) of the European Commission.
These providers act as data processors under GDPR and never process your data for their own purposes.

7. Data Retention
- Active Account: Your data is retained as long as your account is active
- Deleted Account: deletion is immediate, permanent and irreversible. Your profile, all your matches, all your videos (those stored on our Cloudflare R2 servers and those saved locally within the PadelBuzz app), your statistics and your account are erased immediately. No deferred retention (no soft-delete).
- Videos: retained until you manually delete them or delete your account; in the latter case they are erased immediately (on our servers and within the app). Copies that you have saved to your own Photos app or shared elsewhere are not affected: they belong to you and remain on your device.
- Technical Logs: Short error codes and messages attached to the relevant match, kept for as long as the match exists and deleted together with it

We implement appropriate security measures:
- Encryption: All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest
- Secure Authentication: Passwords hashed with modern algorithms
- Restricted Access: Only authorized persons have access to data
- Regular Backups: To prevent any data loss

In accordance with GDPR, you have the following rights:

10. Children's Data
Although PadelBuzz is technically accessible to all audiences (App Store 4+ rating), we do not accept the registration of users under the age of 13, in compliance with COPPA (United States) and GDPR. If we discover that a user is under 13, we will immediately delete their account. For users between 13 and 16 in some EU countries, parental consent may be required under local law.
11. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Our application does not use cookies. We only use:
- Local Storage: To save your preferences and session
- Device Identifiers: For proper application functionality
12. International Transfers
Your data is primarily stored on servers located in the European Union (Supabase). If a transfer outside the EU is necessary, we ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place.

We may update this privacy policy. In case of significant changes, we will inform you via:

- An email to your registered address
